Someone "took" my fathers grave!!!!
I’m completely devastated. Today I took the kids out to see my father grave. My father died in 1990 when I was 18 years old so my kids have never met him, but they have always visited his grave with me, and they know this is where Granddad is buried. When we got there the grave was gone!!!!!!
Gone as in no longer there! Gone as in dug up! Gone as in “Where the f*** is my father?” You could see the earth has been dug up and the stone was gone.
I can’t even begin to tell you how completely shocked and devastated I am that they have cancelled his grave without even bothering to tell me. Without bloody asking me if I wanted to continue to pay for it.
Both my parents are gone, I have no grandparents left, my childhood home no longer exist and I’m an only child. My parents’ graves are the bloody only thing I have left to show to my children and now I only have my mother’s grave left. My daugther aged 5 started to cry and wanted to know who "stole" Granddad's grave. I was distraught and started crying too. I told my daughter that Granddad is in Heaven and it was only the remains of his physical body, but when you're 5 that is a tad difficult to understand. Especially when your mother is obviously in tears too.
How on God’s green earth could they do this to me. I know it is only a physical place but it was damn important to me. And although I know I can go out there tomorrow and shout at some official, I know too well that they can do nothing about it. My father’s ashes are god knows where, and I can do not a thing about it…...
