A fic that hasn't been written yet
I just had a thought.
I think that someone should do a BBC Sherlock and Angel crossover where Winifred is a love interest for Sherlock. Not withstanding that Sherlock is asexual and a misogynist, I think that Fred is the most likely female in any universe to fit with him. She's just smart enough, just nuts enough. She's a bit like Molly but with brains to match the mad consulting detective and a backbone that the forensic pathologist lacks. A backbone that John doesn't lack which is why it would never ever work with Molly. She's completely incapable of calling Sherlock on his bullshit.
I'd love to see a fic with a gradual development between Sherlock and Fred where he comes to realize some feelings aren't so bad and accepts a degree of sexuality into his life. It would just have to keep Sherlock's personality. His scientific analysis of everything, his moodiness, his brilliance, his learning curve, his grotesque curiosity, his expertise, his resentment/fear of feelings, his weirdness, his arrogance and equally fragile ego, his deductions, his inconvenience. I dislike it when fiction writers try to make Sherlock more convenient, more like a normal man, or worse, more like a woman.
Anyway, just a thought.
That could be a brilliant fic. Especially if Sherlock got the run of of Wolfram and Hart. Even better if Moriarty came along for the ride. That could be scary in a way that Sherlock isn't. Horror movie scary. And awesome.
