east coast trip 2011 - regional in Maryland

We went, we showed, we got dumped :-)  I expected as much.  Eri was awesome on the trip and showed nicely,  He just wasn't what they were looking for and my grooming was decidedly less poofy than what else was out there.  Regardless of the show results, I had a really nice time at the show spending time with both Brin and Colton's breeders.  They are extremely knowledgeable about structure and movement - what a great treat to sit with them ringside and spectate!

It was SPRING in Massachusetts and as we drove south it definitely got into SUMMER.  There were ticks at both ends of the trip, but Eri didn't get one on him until the last night in Maryland when we went for a walk and headed off into an area that had some bushes.  He didn't have tick stuff on him yet but fortunately I was able to spot the suckers and get them off him before they attached.  This is one of the biggest drawbacks to the east coast IMO.  I would really love to live there again, but I just can't think about the tick situation without being really happy we don't have them...and mosquitoes for the most part!
