Last weekend Eri and I were stranded in Irvine, CA. We'd gone down to evaluate a litter of his sisters at his breeder's house (repeat breeding) flying standby and weren't able to get back until Sunday because of all the spring break traffic. Anyway, this was Eri's debut trip as my working service dog - he was brilliant! I'm pretty darned impressed at how unflappable he was at just 17 months :-)
In the Portland airport on the way down:
In the plane (sort of) under the seat in front of me:
With the 'family' - 'Uncle Jet' (greyhound) and mom Laura:
And the little sisters:
Tickle
Espresso
Cariboo
Eiffel
more Espresso (sadly fuzzy from jumping up to see her big brother!)
Cariboo (l) and Eiffel (r) - now Eri knows what it's like being the 'grown up' dog and having a puppy in your face (bwahaha!)
On Saturday, having despaired of EVER getting a flight home, we went to a herding fun day put on by the BCCSC. Ted Ondrak handled Eri for me as I didn't have my boots or knee brace. Ted was awesome with Eri. Eri was great with the sheep - still coming in close, but definitely thinking again. It was nice to be able to stand on the side of the very large round pen and just watch someone else work though puppy stuff with him. No pics of that though...bad mom!
