creative writing/accounting

It's time to submit the info for our main contract with the City of Portland again.  I'm finding that this, as the only outlet for my creative writing skills, is very depressing.  Not to mention the bending and squinting I have to do to make the numbers line up for the budgeting.  When then gets ignored completely by the finance people at the central office in their creative accounting process (has nothing to do with reality or the terms of my contract apparently!)

What a horrible waste of time.
