His first morning on the TARDIS, and already Jack wandered the halls. He'd never been in anything quite like this. He'd heard of it before, of course, because what sort of Time Agent had no knowledge of the Time Lords? Still, reading about it in a textbook and actually roaming the endless halls were two completely different things ( ... )

This is pitch-perfect for both Jack and Rose--I was just grinning ear-to-ear by the end.

"It's always time for chips somewhere."
HEE. And I love the garden - it reminds me of Terry Pratchett.

I really need to read Terry Pratchett. I am, in fact, embarrassed that I haven't. :)

Thanks! I know we weren't supposed to use all the prompts listed, and I totally did...this little snippet just popped into my mind with the garden and breakfast and chips. Couldn't help myself. :) So I'm glad you liked the garden idea!

Well if you haven't read any yet may I humbly suggest you start with the Discworld stuff? I am a big fan of the ones featuring the Guards, myself :D

I actually own the first few Discworld books, but I have a terrible habit of purchasing books and taking forever to get around to reading them. Eventually I will...

The only thing of his that I've read is Good Omens, which I read because Neil Gaiman is my hero. :)

And I have yet to read Gaiman (except for when someone on my f-list links to his blog), even though people have been telling me I should (and given me advice on where to start). :D

Thank you! And yeah, you just know there's a million things in there. :) We certainly don't have enough of that in the new series!
