I really haven't enjoyed the 2nd series of Torchwood at all.
There's been a number of stupid inconsistencies in this season that have annoyed me, and the final episode is just stupid. Nevermind the whole ret-con of Jack losing his brother, and agonising over "omg! I let go of his hand!". How old is Jack supposed to be again? He's held onto this for well over a hundred years? Puh-leeze! Chris Chibnall: please stop writing for Torchwood.
Overall I've found the acting in Torchwood to be fairly stilted, and the story lines unimaginative. I have to admit that I really dislike John Barrowman. He's hammy, and doesn't sell the role at all. He has his moments, but they're few and far between.
I will probably watch the start of Season 3 (the triumph of hope over experience), but I suspect I'll be unplugging at some point.
I started writing this 30min into the final episode, and I was (at least) looking forward to seeing more of Naoko Mori, but Toshiko just died so I guess that's the end of that...
fluff,
angry,
tv shows,
up my own.....
