Alone on a Thursday night. Both pathetic and enjoyable. Or maybe it’s pathetically enjoyable? The answer is no.
I have not had time to update this week because of a small computer crisis. It happened once before, at the beginning of sophomore year. The computer crashes, I open iTunes, panic that no songs are in the library, find them all in the “Music” folder, and drag them into the library, restoring order in the world. Almost. The star rating and play count for every song is erased. It could be a lot worse though. I am just glad every song is still there, including any lyrics or album artwork I may have attached to them. Anyway, in my free time, I have been re-rating all 5200 songs based off of my iPod. Without that, I would be in worse shape than a polar bear in Amarillo, Texas. It is time-consuming but necessary. The ratings are good for creating playlists among other subtleties. It just makes me feel more organized as a music connoisseur. As of now, six days after the tragedy, I have rated all songs up to starting with the letter “R.” Only 2200 more to go!
I am proud to say that I bowled a 146 on Wednesday morning. However, I want to clarify that I generally bowl much worse. Usually I average about 100. The instructor has not taught us much as far as improving on skill, but this repeated practice is definitely beneficial for me. I am going to miss the course when it ends early March. Since my original goal was to bowl a 150, and I have practically accomplished that, I shall raise it to 200! I really think I can do it.
Being a TA is pretty cool. I enjoy the class all over again, and my peers are cool. It is a really great opportunity. By the way, I am now the ONLY TA for that class. Neither Kristy nor the other girl had 3.0 averages. I went from being completely rejected from the position, to the only survivor! A tale of true inspiration.
I am excited about the Bears going to the Superbowl. We are definitely the underdogs in this match. If we did have to lose to one team, I would want it to be the Colts. Peyton is a good man. It looks like I may be going home that weekend to watch the game with my extended family. My aunt and uncle just got a big ass TV and are having everyone over Sunday night. I will just catch the 10:15 bus that night. I really hope the whole thing is not rushed. I want to enjoy our victory celebration!
By the way, I am getting really sick of the media being blamed for all of society’s ills. Physical attractiveness equals sexual attractiveness, permissive attitudes towards sex, anorexia, twisted war information, whatever. I am not denying its impact on people and their actions, I just feel like that is all anybody blames for everything anymore. Maybe just try to do your own thing and stop placing blame.
I am done updating. I hope you enjoyed a very static entry.
