If I Ever Leave This World Alive.....
So last night was the Flogging Molly show. Kicked Total Ass!!! Even though the opening (the first opening band I should say) band was crap, the second (Scotch Greens, very good, check them out) was good. I was a little unhappy that Flogging Molly came onstage so late (10:30) but it was well worth the wait. And there were no better people to see it with than Justine and Kristen. Good, good show.
I think I'm down a few pounds again this week. I've been really good about what I eat (until tonight) and I've been working out almost every other day consistently. I had a teacher today demand to know how much weight I've lost, and when I gave her a ballpark figure she said I was lying. She said I've lost much more than I think I have. That's good to hear. I'm hoping that by doing this online WW thing and having semi-cheating meetings with the teachers at school (we're doing WW but not paying for At Work Meetings) I'll be able to get down to where I want to be. My secret goal, if it ever really happens, is to be able to safely wear a sexy (as sexy as I can manage) bathing suit this summer when Mark and I go somewhere for our 2nd wedding anniversary. But my super duper goal is to lose about 30 to 40 lbs. Today I put on a pair of pants I hadn't worn in a week or so, and I didn't realize how baggy they'd gotten. Granted, they're made of stretchy fabric, but they've been hanging in my closet after being washed and dried so they would still be around the same normal elasticity until I started stretching them out by walking around, etc.
The teachers at school have been telling me to take a day off on monday. I've had a cold for about two weeks (nothing serious, but when I get sick my head gets foggy) and I've had headaches (due to stress) a lot lately. They keep telling me to take care of myself, and I suppose that's a good piece of advice. But I don't like taking days off, I feel too guilty. There is a 3 day weekend coming up (technically 4, but the last day is parent/teacher conferences that I'm required to be there for) and I think I'll take the friday off before that. Next friday, I believe. I just hope Mark can get it off.
