Gaydar?

I don't have the greatest gaydar in the world, either, but I'm usually pretty good at spotting a gay guy when I see one. It's not based on his face shape, either. It's mostly based on mannerisms, behaviors, and sometimes vocabulary. I also agree with you in that the interaction is what really tips me off.

It's mostly based on mannerisms, behaviors, and sometimes vocabulary. I also agree with you in that the interaction is what really tips me off. That is exactly it! Part of it is a weird ease (mostly subconscious) with which gay men interact with women. It's not always true, sort of like the ease in which old women can interact with almost anyone: there's no sexual subtext or fear of it. That's not all my gaydar is based on, but that's a part of it.

My "gaydar" tends to be the same way. The only time my "gaydar" was off was with my father. So now it's the shape of our faces *sighs* what's next

Yeah, I was thinking that, too. That said, I cannot help but feel that most of my "gaydar" comes from interactions with people rather than merely looking at them.

That has always struck me as stereotyping, a little bit.
