Oddness, Randomness, and Quick Decision Making
An ode to saying, "Fuck sleep!"
Actually I have no idea where I'm going with that, but some of it does apply seeing as how I'm posting this at 6:30 a.m.(or whenever I finish typing it).
So as most of you know I joined a frat last week, TKE. My friend in CS310 whom I've known since freshmen year is their president. I forgot this fact when he invited me over for meatball subs. I decided to just take the free dinner and run when I remembered he was the TKE's pres, but obviously plans changed. Turns out they are a bunch of really awesome guys so I decided to join them. Seems almost pointless since I'm a junior I suppose, but fuck it, I think it'll be fun and maybe the little structure they offer might help me become a better person or something. At least they're forcing me into the library for 4 hours a week minimum for study hours. I might actually get shit done now. So I have those to go to from 6-9 every weeknight whenever I can, and Thursday I have to do stuff around 8, and then we have this thing on Saturday followed by a party. Due to all of this and various other things I may not remember otherwise, I have decided to resurrect my PDA. I have since discovered that the screen saying it needs to be recharged has been image burned into the LCD slightly...so fuck.
The PS3 comes out Friday, yay! Originally Gamestop was going to do a midnight release thing, but they changed their minds since they aren't getting many systems in and there might be security issues as well, I don't know. So now I have to go to Ottumwa, IA the morning of Friday to get there at 9a.m. Which means I'll probably get back here around 11a.m., and play til Japanese...also I'll probably play through dinner and the anime club grab bags. Remember that thing I just mentioned going on Saturday? Well fuck. Anyway that means I probably won't go to the party, but that also means I'll won't be playing the PS3 for like 10 hours or something. I would like to forbid anyone from touching it, but we'll see how things go Friday. I only have one game for it thus far, Resistance: Fall of Man, and it all kind of depends on how far I get in, how the multiplayer works, etc. If all goes well, then I'll probably let everyone just play multiplayer and leave it at that. If they want to play PS2 games however, they can kiss my ass, that's not a good excuse to use the PS3 since the PS2 will still be around, for Guitar Hero at the very least. Also I plan on going to Wal-Mart a little before midnight on Thursday and trying to acquire an extra controller and some other accessories since Gamestop doesn't know anything about getting any of them at all. Also I already got Resistance in the mail today...it is so annoying that I can't play it, but from what I've read in it's manual, it looks very promising.
I fell asleep last night fairly early, for me anyways. I got back here from studying around 9:15ish, read R.O.D. volume 4, which I think is the last one, and then started to meditate a bit lying down...this turned into a nap, and then the lights got turned off and I was just asleep. I woke up at 3a.m. and have been reading a highly amusing thread on SA about humorous answers people have put on tests. Examples:
-Freshman year I had an English teacher who let us write on our own topics. I wrote one paper about " How to Write a Bad Paper and Still Get an A." In it I wrote everything I had done that semester to help boost my points.
In the same class, wrote a paper on " Protection from Malevolent Forces" I wanted him to read a paper he had never read before, it was a tie in with the " Bad Paper" paper. In the zombies section I'm pretty sure I wrote " Shoot them in the fucking head and don't get bitten." I also cited Shaun of the Dead in my paper for that quote. Both A's.

A:Give them candy.
The kicker of it was probably the fact that they received full credit.
Anyway I am currently debating whether or not I should go back to bed or not. I have this Japanese make-up test thing I have to do at 12:30, and I still need to study for it. Plus I have to write up my final draft for my "show and tell" in that class...and probably try and guess what people's questions will be ahead of time. I'm not sure if I will go to Chem121 today or not. I should, so I won't do bad on the test, which I think will be Monday, but it could easily end up being Wednesday since he has the class vote on when it is, thus I should go just to find that out. But if I don't go back to bed, then I will probably want to fall asleep after Japanese...or at least during Chem121...and then I have study hours to go to after that...hmm. I think I should stay up, so I can go to bed early tonight, (Random note to self: There's a new South Park on tonight at 9 and again at 11) and thus easily get into a better sleeping pattern that will allow me to get the PS3 without much drowsiness, and do that crap on Saturday as well...I don't know...when does the C-store open, I'm hungry...oh, I have cereal. I think I'll eat some cereal, take a shower and then study...or do laundry...then study, and then do all that crap I just mentioned.
