(Belated) Icon Meme
Building a shared world really takes it out of ya, I guess! But apparently it really does only take 7 days. ;-)
In any case, now that my mind and energy and creativity are a little more freed up to do other things, I'll do something I meant to do back when all that began--the icon meme!
1. Reply to this post and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.
I don't have that many icons, and many of the icons meus_venator and alexisjane chose overlapped, so I'll do all of 'em in one post!
1. Lights
I nabbed this from In Small Packages! Perusing the wish fulfillments, I saw that someone had asked for and received icons of light in darkness. I asked giver and receiver if I could have a couple, and they wanted to share the love. It seemed ideal to go with my username.
2. Jared hair
Baha--I saw this on something cuddyclothes posted and it was too hilarious to pass up, so I asked if she minded, and voila!
3. My default icon
Ah, my brightly lit icon. Since both people asked about it, it makes me think maybe people have wondered about it, as I think many of us wonder about one another's icons (and usernames). It comes from Princess Tutu, that anime I WON'T STOP RAVING ABOUT UNTIL EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU HAS WATCHED IT AND DECLARED IT THE BEST ANIME YOU'VE EVER SEEN. [I'll wear you down someday, I swear ....] The anime is staged like a ballet; you see the spotlights on the dancers, and the black of the stage behind them. That's Tutu on the right, and Mythos on the left, the man she loves, but if she ever confesses her love, she'll turn into a speck of light and vanish, so all she can do to express her feelings is dance them out, and sometimes she's lucky enough to get to dance with him. If it makes you want to watch the anime more, Mythos spends a great deal of the show wearing what he's wearing here: a long white button-down shirt AND NOTHING ELSE. And he and his roommate have a very Sam/Dean relationship. I picked the icon because I love the show, and it also seemed to express the concept of my username quite well. Plus, it's so pretty. ;-)

Misha, from his photo shoot with Jared (at Comic-Con, maybe?), desperately sexy in his nerdy Clark Kent glasses. Yum!

These both came from an icon maker around lj, neversleeps. I'm a Sam!girl, so I had to have some icons of Sam in different moods. I think of the top one as angry, BAMF Sam, and the second one as angsty Sam.
7. sandwich
I actually made this one when I was making icons for my rewrite_spn comm, looking for images from when SPN slipped into alternate realities/timelines, since that's the theme of the comm. This is, of course, from the sitcom portion of "Changing Channels," Dean lusting after a giant sandwich in their AWESOME kitchen, brightened up and modeled after their dingy, hideous hotel room.
