Like an impatient child! (Also, CHICAGO!)

*bounces* The absolute hardest part of the holiday fic exchange season is waiting for stories I've written to be posted (or, in the case of something like fandom_stocking, seen by the recipient). I'll have you know I also have the worst time with waiting for other people to open presents I've got them. Last year I giggled maniacally all during my Christmas visit home every time I thought of my present for jaune_chat (a paperback collection of her non-porny fanfic and original fiction), until I rather thought Mr. Chat was worried (more worried than usual) about my mental health.

On the holiday-fic-exchanges-are-awesome hand, I'm itchin' to post some recs, and will try to do so on Sunday. There's such exciting fic open on many many tabs in my browser!

In the meantime, I have a question for my Chicago (or nearby) brethren:

Anyone interested in meeting up to see the new Sherlock Holmes movie, perhaps on Saturday 12/17 or Sunday 12/18? After last spring's Frankenstein meet-up, I know there are lots of Chicago Sherlock fans! And yes, it's not Benedict and Martin, but we'll need to be familiar with the plot for all the fusion and AU stories we'll be writing, right? And also because of dashing period garb. I rest my case.

Let me know if you'd like to go and, if so, which date works best!

wtf am i on about?, public service announcement, making trouble, real life
