- I am so broke these days that I'm going to take the risk and hope that Journal for Plague Lovers will also be released on the US iTunes Store in the same week that it's being released in the UK. The previous album was allegedly released on the US iTunes before it came out in the UK. If I have it sent via DHL over to me, shipping will cost even more than the actual CD, and I don't think I can't afford those ridiculous customs charges that customs will screw me over. Sigh.
Oh, my, am I growing up? I'm not used to myself avoiding rash decisions. ^^;;;;;
- Been following the NBA Playoffs closely, not because I'm supporting any team in particular, but because I'm amused by the reactions from friends and relatives who do root for a team. I told my brother, "Hey, if the Celtics and Heat make it all the way, aren't they going to face off in the conference finals?" To which he replied (and pshaw-ed), "Both teams aren't going to make it." Hahahahaha!
What happened to Filipino pride, yo? Why aren't we getting any Heat games over here?!
- Same brother has now started to get man-crushes on RDJ and Fillion too. Heh. He thinks Castle is a grrrreeeaaat show, but I've watched more TV shows (sadly), so I can't say the same. He plays rewinds and plays Fillion's funny faces often. Goodness, even I don't do that (but I laugh along and watch him anyway).
And I used to think Tom Cruise gave the better performance in Tropic Thunder? More outrageous, yes, but I have to give the crown back to RDJ. Particularly that brilliant scene where he switches between four accents in 20 seconds-I missed that part the first time I saw the movie. Now, that part, I'd rewind and play repeatedly. And there's also that incredible DVD extra of the full magazine of him and Ben Stiller improvising that "I'm a dude playing a dude...." scene. Funny to see RDJ in blackface speaking in his normal voice. =P
- After three whole weeks of bringing healthy lunches to work, I kinda blew it yesterday and had an insatiable need to have
good (read-fatty) food, that I went alone, even if I didn't have a willing lunch pal. (I really have no problem eating out by myself, unlike most people.) I felt slightly guilty afterwards, but I soon discovered that I needed the extra fat for, uhm, a monthly bodily process.
Bizu also was selling a chocolate-hazelnut "jam" that I sampled after lunch. Neither chocolatey or nutty, and too sweet. It's just no Nutella.
