My wife wook my older son to a friend's birthday party today, while I took the younger to the house so we could check out the progress. 50', windy and rainy on a Sunday afternoon--and there were drywall guys up there working. Wow.
Here's Mr. Three Years Old. That's his favorite tape measure that he's holding, for the curious.
...and the garage that he's standing in front of. This was pretty much the last part to get paneled; that stage looks done now.
Instead, as you can see here in the master bath, they're taping up seams and filling nail holes. The walls are just about set for painting now.
They're even doing the ceilings, and N- insisted that I take a picture of the extra long legs this guy was using. I want a pair of those! :) Anyway, what you can't see here is the huge torpedo-shaped heater that they were using to keep the house at a reasonable temperature so the drywall compound could, well, dry. It looked and sounded like a jet engine, glowed cherry red (though it was so bright it was hard to look at). N- was really scared of it, but that's okay because Dad was too.
I don't know why they didn't simply turn on the furnace. Sigh.
