i've been thinking about friendship a LOT lately. i might need to steal this and elaborate on it. ;)

hrm...boring...usually the boring f-o-f i've known were just passive, so i didn't have to deal with them much. if a person is talking to me, i guess i have a high tolerance for boredom. i can also eat most cafeteria food. hrm...

Feel free to look through my "friend" memories. They provide some interesting perspective.

Unfortunately, I seem to encounter the talkative boring people. *sigh*

*giggles* now i'm wondering if, in person, *I'M* one of those talkative boring people. :D

I know I can be boring if people don't care about my interests. But as I get bored by some things that people talk about, it all evens out. We just find people who find enough of the same things interesting and enough different things interesting that we maintain conversation. :D

thinking more about it, i HAVE been with those chatty people where you have that sinking feeling like chewing off your arm or HOPING you need to go pee soon.

Luckily, I tend to have homework or a drive ahead of me when I'm around them. ^_^

Plus there's always the random excuse of "I need to go [activity]." Said activity, of course, involves avoiding their company. :D

Who me? *innocent look*

Seriously though, I do tell the truth about other commitments, as I always do have some. But part of good friendship is valuing time in their company above errands. "Boring" friends of friends don't merit that consideration. :D

it's weird, because i know sometimes i'm "on" or i click with someone and they sincerely have fun hanging out with me. however, i also KNOW i've seen that glazed look in people's eyes.

this is me talking myself down off the paranoia train. :D

*nodnod* Clicking with someone is very fun. :D

But you do have to watch for the glazed people (well, the glazed doughnuts too). I either try to change the subject, or barring that, wander off myself.

Versus the "Slow Train to China" that is the boringness? :p

Indeeed. For they are dangerously sugarfilled and induce bouncing in all who consume them. ^_^

Nope, I've only seen scattered Animaniacs episodes. Just never got into it. I do have some of the music though. Country song, state song, chemical song, etc.
