Earning Friendship

"Friends must earn friendship and, while I will be civil to people I dislike, I will not voluntarily engage in activities which put me in prolonged contact with them, no matter who they are."
Now the bigger question would be, what happens when friends of friends are boring? I generally put up with them, albeit reluctantly and often with the addition of snide comments. But sarcasm is fun and I use it liberally on everyone. ^_^
