tgiSATURDAY.
i was just listening to a song called "i love beans," from some random musical on someone's itunes, and then it just changed to "toxic." i'm upset.
ok, i just changed it. DISNEY! YAY! alright, recap of hell week numero dos.
monday - wrote piece-of-crap midterm paper for injun class and turned it in at 2. i asked my roommate if there was a limit to how much bs you can fit into one paper. she said no, not for a sociology class, and a RETARDED soc. class at that, so i felt ok about it. also had a german presentation that morning, where i had to memorize cinderella in german. it was interesting. i suck at german, but i'm good at memorizing things that the TA say are right, so i get A's on oral presentations and C's on tests. i wish i cared about it more, especially since i'm actually going there for the whole month of january. oh well, that's what christmas break is for.
tuesday - did a whole chapter assignment for theory that was uber confusing. who cares where EXACTLY the piece modulates to B major? all i know is that it sounds f-d up.
wednesday - music history test. enough said. i'm still living in my weekend of ignorant bliss, but i think we'll probably get them back on monday.
thursday - wrote 5 variations on a retarded theme out of our theory book, put them on finale and turned it in by 6pm. mine didn't have very many interesting chords in it, but i thought they were cute. we'll see what forsberg thinks.
friday - breathed a giant sigh of relief. friday was actually fun because it was sarah miller's birthday so i went and got her some shtuff with my friend stephen. we went to this funny little store, the "used a bit shoppe" and got stuff. stephen got a really old school tape recorder that you have to talk REALLY LOUD into to get it to work, so we were a little obniouxous in the store. but hey, it was 50 cents. a STEAL. i got sarah a coffee-themed birthday present - what else? it was hellishly boring and sleep inducing, but then bryan and kale started playing the slap-eachother game so that was entertaining. then i had to stage manage the collegium/early music singers concert, which sounded like my music history listening homework playing in the background, so since they do all their own setup, i sat in the back and looked at a pottery barn catalog and pseudo-slept. then we went to the swing dance which was surprisingly really fun!! i have no idea how to do anything swing-dance related, but lots of boys do so that was helpful. top 3 INSANE dancers:
1. eric huseth
2. jeffrey hyman
3. tim barker, with some tabletop move that was very confusing, but we eventually got it :)
oh, and the jazz bands sounded good too :)
yeah for lazy saturdays.
