You know it’s HOT when …
Bear River is warmer than Costa Rica!

So, in this Heat, not much gets accomplished and one doesn’t even have to feel guilty about slouching off!

So when a friend from Bear River sent me message this morning saying she possibly saw a picture of one of my Ancestors yesterday! It provided a good distraction!

Distraction from what? You ask.
My sore toes!

Anyway, my friend Sandy, who visited the Sulpher Springs near Banf yesterday and saw this…

Sandy thought the fellow in the lower middle,
Frank McCabe, one of the men who found the Sulpher Springs in 1883, must be one of my Ancestors.

Well… No! But…

Upon closer inspection, and a little research I was able to trace Him back to his Newcombe family Ancestor who lived in Connecticut near where my Newcombe Ancestors lived at the same time! So, likely a relative!

My guess, as I haven’t quite put it all together yet, is that John Frank McCabe was probably about a 4th Cousin to my believed Great Grandfather, John Richard Newcombe. Which means the guy in the photo, which definitely does bare a resemblance to me, was most likely my fourth cousin fou times removed. Or something very close to that. Likely within a generation of the same.

It’s funny how family traits and looks pass down.
Sometimes through many, many, Generations!

Sometimes such things remain hidden, other times they stuck out like ..

arthritis in your toes: signs of toe arthritis, and what to do about it

arthritis in toes can be caused by inflammation or the wear & tear of toe joint cartilage. learn more about what causes toe arthritis and how it is treated.

How’s that for a segue!?

Cause that’s what I’ve been dealing with the past couple,of days, sore toes. Since we got rain night before last. I jokingly said Arthur Titus come for a visit and sat on my toes!

Of course it’s more likely that a Pig or a Goat stepped on it. It’s happened a few times lately! When a 150 lb animal steps on your foot, it can lead to troubles!

I’m not sure if it was from being stepped on,or my basically dancing the four km Parade route on the weekend, but either is possible! So is Arthritis!

It is doing better, I don’t think it’s gout, thankfully, and as the weather has improved so has the foot.

Although it is sore tonight, but that’s after doing chores!

I think I’ll survive!

I also think I’ll call it a night!
