In transit

Ran home last night after work and packed. Then I realized that I wouldn't have any clean pants for work on Monday unless I did a load of laundry. So I washed the darks. I ran the dishwasher, turned off the humidifiers and headed up to Chez Shellenbean. I gassed up the car on the way. My goal was to be in bed by 11:00, and I made it. Go me!

Both Stephen and I managed to set our alarms for p.m. instead of a.m. but we still made it out the door exactly on time. I started the car at exactly 5:00 a.m. Ugh. Of course, the only saving grace of leaving that early is that it makes driving into Boston on a weekday completely tolerable. At or above the speed limit the entire trip.

Check in went smoothly. No forgotten contraband. I even (accidentally) wore my FitBit through the scanner and didn't raise any flags. I totally forgot that I had it clipped to my pants until we started talking about how far we had to walk to get to the Dunkin Donuts in the airport and I thought, "I don't mind, it's more steps... Oh wait, where's my FitBit?"

Waiting to board, and watching planes take off. We'll be in Chicago before lunchtime.
