WW Update

Last week I was up .4 pounds, but this week I'm down 2.8, so Whoot! and double Whoot!

When I originally started back with Weight Watchers after my divorce we were having Weight Watchers at Work meetings. The Weight Watchers at Work group finally couldn’t get enough members to continue and fizzled out, so when I went back to Weight Watchers last summer I started going to meetings over in Chelmsford and found that I really like the class leader over there. Well, recently they started up WW at Work again, and I decided not to switch meetings, since I like my new leader so much.

I am really glad that I didn’t do WW at Work.

This is a sore point for me. One of the women who joined the group is one of those overly skinny chicks that you just want to tell “Eat a sandwich!” She recently had a baby, and now thinks that she’s too fat. Apparently during weigh in she stands on the scale and exclaims in a horrified voice, “I can’t believe I weigh 132 pounds!” She thinks that she’s fat at a weight that is below my goal weight. Arggghhh! If I was doing the At Work program I know I would have had words with this woman about being insensitive, how everyone's goals are different, and how she needs to consider how her comments might be hurtful to others. Grrrr..

I can’t stand skinny people who whine about how “fat” they are, and want to diet back down to being underweight.

On the plus side, my regular lecturer was back to day! Yay! Her topic today was about having the right tools to do the job. She was using the metaphor about how we need to do constant maintenance on our houses, and she showed up with a hardware toolbelt full of tools and a hard hat! She's soo cute some days. And she also had some WW tools (food diary, food lists, etc.) tucked into her belt to pull out during her talk.
