Good things going on in my life this week:
Friends posting silly kitten pictures (thank you
ellettra, I’m still giggling over Robin).
Socializing this week with friends. Hat shopping with Alena last Friday, Sewing Circle last Saturday, Rae coming over Wednesday night, lunch with Mike on Thursday. It’s nice not being quite such a hermit.
I really dove into the Big Purge this week. Last week I sorted through my T-shirt collection and weeded some of my collection of pots and pans. This week I finally weeded through the wet bar, sorted, purged, dusted, and organized. I finally got my new printer set up. Those two things have been on my To Do list for WAY too long, so it feels really nice to finally have them done. And I got started on weeding through the bunch of papers and computer media that needs to be purged.
Even with the sorting and purging projects I’m working on, I’ve managed to keep the house tidied up all week! I’m quite proud of that. I’ve even kept up with the dishes, the sink has pretty much been empty all week. Go me! I’m really looking forward to what the house is going to look like in another week or two if I can keep up with the Purging of Unneeded Stuff and completing of half-finished projects.
This weekend there is more sewing on deck, working on unfinished projects. And two new Her Royal Spyness mysteries. And I may take myself out to the movies, it’s been too long since I’ve hit the cinema.
It should be a good weekend. Hope you all have a lovely weekend yourselves!

Target phasing out gendered signage. Good, because the pink and blue toy section has been pissing me off for years.
UFYH Gothic.
A Love Letter to Libraries. *happy sigh* I feel exactly the same way. And the bit about “Let me see your hands.” Reminded me of Mrs. Tolliver, my amazing elementary school librarian with the iron grey bun and the Best. Reading. Voice. EVAH.
In case you missed it when it went around the web earlier this summer….
The Muppets - Jungle Boogie (music video) “This was clearly the song Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem were put on this earth to play. Enjoy!”
