It’s Friday! *Kermit flail*
I’m still alive and kicking. Still coughing a bit, but I feel 100% better than I did last week. If I can continue to sleep through the night, I think I've got this thing licked. At this point I'm putting my coughing down to cold air (I cough in the car) and the dry air at the office. Because I'm rarely coughing at home (where the humidifiers run night and day).
I'm over the deadline hump at work. Which means I'm now buried under all the stuff that I put off until I got my files off to the translators. But I Got Stuff Done this week, and that always feels good. So work is a win this week too (especially the four day work week from President's day off!).
I have a lunch date with
guy_todd today. Very much looking forward to getting out of the office for some gossip and good food. Human contact, yay!
The weekend weather looks mostly clear. Which is good, because The weekend weather changed overnight since I wrote this. We’re now expecting 5-8 inches of snow on Saturday. Which may (or may not) be a problem because I’m headed down to
New England Reenactor’s Fair in Sturbridge. Which means face time with my Guild peeps. And my friend Dan, who is in the process of moving to New England from Chicagoland. Good thing I’m a really good driver in the snow. I just hope it doesn’t affect attendance, because this is still a new event, and the guy running it needs to break even if it’s going to keep happening (last year he picked a weekend when the major Rev War and major Civil War units in the area all had big meetings, so attendance was sparse).
And in case you haven't noticed, my writer/blogger mojo seems to be back. I'm feeling posty lately. That feels nice too. There's a backlog of stuff I want to write about. So I'm writing again. Whoo!
Linkies!
