(no subject)
My parents have finally decided to do something about the water that's been seeping under their house and washing out part of the slope it stands on, so for most of this weekend I've been helping them dig a drainage ditch around the back wall. Yesterday, in the crawlspace under the house, surveying the cavern dug by the leaking water a couple feet below the regular ground level:
Me: And that might be how the mouse got in, too.
Dad: Oh, come on, how would a mouse get through the-
[BELOW, in plain sight within the cavern, enter SQUIRREL stage left.]
[Exit SQUIRREL, stage right.]
