Friday Nite!
This week, so far, has been a blast.
I got to hang out with Chris on Tuesday (which was the very best end to an otherwise horrid day). It was an intimate dinner and movies later at my place. Sunday, he made the comment that people feel safe with me. I don't always feel safe with other people, though. But, not insignificantly, I am feeling quite safe with him.
Wednesday night was Coffee Talks and, while I wasn't going to go, ending up filling in for a co-worker. Two nice things happened that night.
I got to talk a little with this new guy Dennis, which was cool. It's nice when you try to be friendly to someone and they notice and acknowledge that in a positive way.
The second thing; I talked with new guy Joel a lot. Joel is a little person, the first little person I've ever really met. After CT, a bunch of us went to eat and I was able to talk to him and get to know him better. He faces lots of challenges, magnified a lot by being in this gay community. But damn if he isn't perfectly capable of meeting those head-on. Turns out, we have tons in common. It was nice to make a new friend.
I miss my Dorian. My little sister and I haven't had the chance to dish, gossip or talk.
I will be more available and start hanging out again. I was just taking a little break.
Tonight's Friday! Whoopie! I shall have to do something fun tonight.
God, I need fun.

Matt 2 - for not being able to talk to you much on Sunday night. I thought you'd be hanging out longer.
