I've heard of pink elephants, but a pink Rolls Royce at sea driven by Marie Antoinette is ridiculous

The world is a sucky place right now. To summarise, the job i had 2 weeks ago is no more. They have decided to take on someone with more experience for the remaining few months, and they may have also not liked the idea of paying the agency more than i was earning. Yeah, i blame the agency for me losing that one. So a week before christmas and i am to be unemployed into the new year again. Last year i made a new years resolution to have a job before the year ended. Technically i had two. Anyway back in january i signed up with Acorn recruitment on the high street. In october i applied for a job they had. A few days ago i got some emails and a letter saying they wanted me to sign up with them (again). Today i re-signed up with them, and in the process found out that my words per minute is around 30 which is pretty rubbish. I don't like them much.

Anyway i was reading this and got thinking. Back when i was a kid i used to be a massive thunderbirds fan. There was this one episode which featured a satellite dish accidentally bouncing the suns rays (and therefore its heat) onto a little village penelope and parker were staying at. I dont think it would be spoiling much to say the thunderbird team saves everyone from a very hot death. Check here for full episode details. Anyway i can't help but think that perhaps these italians haven't heeded Mr Anderson's warning. And anyway, if the finnish, norwegians and others who live up in the northern hemisphere can go months without sunlight, why can't these italians?

Also i think i've got this thing set up so that anyone (or perhaps just friends) can add tags. Just thought i'd say.
