I weep for your self importance

What was it I hated about Washington DC?
Oh yeah- the people who work here.
It is filled with some of the most self aggrandizing blowhards south of new jersey.

Today has been a busy day in DC- several motorcades have been flitting back and forth on Pennsylvania avenue resulting in street closures periodically- and when I say street closures- I mean complete closures to traffic and pedestrians.

On the walk to the metro to go home- I came across such a road closure. A group of people had been standing waiting to cross for about 5 min waiting for the motorcade to pass by when one of them grew aggravated.
This was a middle aged man maybe in his 50s who was growing impatient. Apparently his last bus left at 7 and it was all of 5:30 at that time. He began to complain to the officer about how he wasn't notified of this and that he had places to go home. The cop simply told him to be patient and as soon as the motorcade passed then he'd be allowed to cross. His voice was stern with a tinge of irritation- likely having to deal with similar penises all day long.

Fed up- said pedestrian thought he could sneak across quickly- the officer apporahced him very quickly- mightve been getting ready to either unholster his gun or reach for his radio for assistance- either way I was hoping for a good tasering.
Sadly the man turned back around for the sidewalk. Nobody was hilariously zapped.

There were several other people who were snippy to say the least. I mean- honestly- it's not like the police enjoy standing in the rain blocking traffic.

The whole thing took altogether no longer than 10 min.

Let's face the facts- in this world there are people MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU
Is it unfair? I suppose. That's life- sucks that you gotta stand in the rain a little longer than you wanted to. Don't like it? Move to an island- you can be as important as you want there.

My message to that pedestrian that was impatient outside of doj today?

Choke on a dick.
