(no subject)
I am back for a little while. No, I haven't posted cause of the huge storm that hit western Washington...in fact I got lucky and flew down to Washington in the wee hours of Thursday when the storm came in. Yup, I am down in California enjoying the sunshine! :-)
I came back to my grandparents house on Saturday then out to my dad's house on Sunday. We went to "The Bodies" exhibit in Seattle which was GREAT!!! I work with cadavers in my major, but to see them so clean and positioned was awesome. One of my favorite was the circulatory system, in a nutshell..they put in plastic polymer in ALL the veins and arteries then put the rest of the body in some kind of acid wash so when done, all that is left is veins and arteries. So yeah, fascinating for a health major, go figure. Then I spent most of the next day with my sis and her hubby who is on leave from Iraq. Next days consisted of doing laundry and packing.
Then...on Wednesday night...drove out to my grandparents (cause my granpda offered to drive me to SeaTac) so we could get up early and go out to the airport. Got down to Santa Barbara around 10:15. We got in early and James was lost in process to the airport cause of lack of signs so he finally got me around 10:45. Went to work with him the next day to meet everybody who I have heard about. They also wanted to meet me too. Then went to Pismo Beach for the weekend. Now James is at work and should be home in a lil while for lunch. He's got a nice place and finally has a couch after we found one for just $200 NEW at the BX. Anyhoo, I'm gonna take a shower and get going, I might try to squeeze in a workout before he is home for lunch.
Hope everybody is doing well and take care for my Washingtonian friends! Hopefully you have power on again, the official count was over 1,000,000 according to KOMO and CNN! WOW!!
How could I forget...I GOT TO WATCH A DELTA II LAUNCH FROM JUST A FEW MILES AWAY!!! :-D SO VERY LOUD!
