hi anonymous,
im not saying that green day didn't change music, i just don't think they were a second nirvana. don't get me wrong, green day is one of my all time favorite bands, and i think they brought back "punk" and i use that very term very loosely so as to not offend any minor threat/fugazi/ real punk fans. i, and most likely you, regard green day as a band that changed music, but just isn't looked upon the way nirvana currently is, as seen in this article.
