Ashley

Ashley has a condition, static encephalopathy, which means her brain will never develop to a point beyond that of a three month old baby. Keeping her relatively small will make it easier to move her and take her out of  the house, making the task of her carers substantially easier it will improve her quality of life over what it would be if she were larger. Also her condition is so severe that if we had the capacity to fix that reversing this treatment would be comparatively trivial. My initial reaction to this was highly negative, on consideration I can see the parent's point. It is a very hard decision and I'm very thankful I don't have to make it.
