Some of the complications of haemorrhoids include anaemia (due to loss of blood), thrombosis (if the prolapsing pile is gripped by the anal sphincter and peri-anal haematoma (due to a rupture from the inferior haemorrhoidal plexus).

How embarrassing would it be to die from complications resulting from haemorrhoids??
