I graduate from school the 14th of September....so technically...I have seven days of school left....that makes me happy. I can't wait.
I'm looking at three salons right now...all of which I can transfer to another store in VA Beach when Adam and I get married and I move down here. I'm actually pretty happy I'm going to be living with my parents when I start working. My dad's going to help me get my adult life straight lol. And my mom will be there when I need a few of "life's lessons." I'm scared shitless to be out on my own, like really on my own, so this arrangement will work out nicely. I can save money and get my speed up in a salon while getting this wedding straight. And then maybe at the beginning of April, Adam and I will get settled into an apartment.
I have most of the wedding stuff booked...or at least thoroughly planned out. All I have to say is, thank God for my mother for helping me. I'm so happy Adam's excited about everything too. I'm going up to Ohio for Thanksgiving because that's where my family's meeting for dinner. The next day my aunt Nancy and aunt Georgia are planning on having a bridal shower for me. I'm very excited about that. I haven't seen my family since I went out to California. I couldn't make it out for my grandma's funeral last August, so it'll be nice to see them all again. Plus, Adam's coming with me, so they're all very excited to meet him also. I love that...everyone in my family's excited for the wedding too! :)
I turn 21 in 22 days...exciting. I'm just happy I'll be done with school way before that. I need to book times when I can go take my theory test and my practical. So at school this week I'm going to practice for my test a few times, pay off Mrs. Thomas, and look into dates I can take my tests. I'm also going to talk to the woman from Bubbles Salon next Tuesday about possibly starting a job there. There's a Bubbles in the Lynnhaven Mall in VA Beach I can transfer to eventually. I'm also looking at Regis, Mia and Maxx, and Jc Penney's. All of them would be awesome. I just don't want to end up at Hair Cuttery or something like that, so I'm going to look into better options early...that way, when I do get my license, I can easily start working.
I'm excited about life right now...it's all going well.
Now I gotta go pick John up from the airport...he's back from Minnesota...which reminds me...I want a vacation. Soon enough....soon enough...I hope...
Bren xoxo
