Wonderful day...
Did buyback for some of my old textbooks...Made the best buyback on one textbook in a while today! So back in spring, I took Epidemiology, on-campus Barnes & Nobles bookstore has it new $75/used $56. Went online to ValoreBooks & got the book new along with some other classes' books (all of them were new still shrinkwrapped), so I got the Epi book for (still got the invoice paper in book) $45.11 + s/h = $48.60. The off-campus CB&S bookstore would only take $28...guess how much B&N wanted? (yea I know they are overpriced due to being affiliated with B&N whereas CB&S always has cheaper book prices plus it used to be affiliated with UCF coz they had the finaid deferment so no one paid for any books until UCF dispersed the $ and B&N didn't have that option even though it was on campus) B&N brought my book for $36!!!!!!! Omg so technically I only spent like $12 for a $75 book...awesomeness coz usually I get only like 1/5 back of what I paid and $36 is way beyond 1/5 of what I paid, almost 3/4 of what I paid.
My fave buyback time was for my European History class forever ago... The textbook we used for that class was like 5 yrs old, so the professor told us to get it online because B&N is gonna overcharge like always & he saw online that you could get the book new for like $5 intead of the $50 or so B&N wanted. So I got my book for like $5 new and when buyback time came around, I got like $27 for the book and was super giddy lol...profitting like over $20 lol.
Anyways, everyone going to Warped Tour in Orlando, go here to vote for the band you want more stage time... I find that retarded that people are voting for Anberlin, wtf, they are great & all, but honestly, Anberlin is an Orlando band (well Winter Haven if you want to be specific), they've probably played more shows in Orlando than anyone else on this year's Warped Tour. If anyone loves them that much, go to iBar on Thurs nite whenever Anberlin's in/near town & you'll probably catch them there.
Ohhh and $100 card in free drinks at the DragonRoom was awwwwesome lol...
