Arthur: “That’s a horse.”
Merlin: “Maybe it sensed something.”
Arthur: “Yes, that you’re a clotpole.”
Merlin: “That’s my word.”
Arthur: "And it suits you perfectly.”
Oh, boys, stop flirting.
Really, when are the writers of Merlin going to cease slashing their main characters? They know how obvious it is, but they just keep pushing it. The scene where Merlin brings Arthur his shirt is shameless in its level of man-flirtation. And Bradley and Colin have to realize how they play that out as well.
I'm not usually one for dude-shipping because (unless the characters really are gay and I just have to accept that), having two dudes go at it leaves no room for me. Where's the fun in that? But with Merlin it just adds a level of entertainment to the entire show.
Potential Merlin spoilers ahead...
All right, so 'seriousness' regarding the show:
New Credit Sequence is New! Old Merlin is Old! And Thank you creators, for changing 'boy' to 'man.' My Merlin is not twelve.
GRRM is training me to watch for subtle clues like never before. Merlin passes out cold (literally) in hall? Merlin frozen at the end will thaw, because he has some resistance to said cold (like a reverse Targaryen).
WTF Morgause?!? I love her. She never even got a new dress! *sadface*
Morgana's new Dress of Evil is sexy. Digging it.
Gee, Arthur has a new advisor and he's evil (and as of yet everyone's too stupid to realize it). Go figure.
I love how Percival's muscles are apparently too big to be covered in chainmail. Also, slow-mos of Gwaine's hair tossing FTW! (Seriously, this season is going to be like, "Gangbang me, knights of Camelot+Merlin!")
Episode one and Arthur's already prepared to give up his life (again) for the safety of Camelot, despite protests from Gwen and Uther (again). It's going to be an interesting journey this season.
In Morgana's vision, did I espy a really fancy-ass sword, or was that actually Excalibur?
Also, totes random: where the hell is Mordred? With all the new talk of Emeris and Morgana being well-known for her witchiness now, one would think it's be about time for that creepy little child to resurface.
Or Uncle Benjen Coldhands Alvarr.
