NEW PEOPLE
So all my HAPPY HAPPY SUPERNATURAL FRIENDING has made me very aware of how little I have going on in this here LJ of late (or ever).I MEAN THERE IS MORE TO LIFE THAN SUPERNATURAL RIGHT? RIGHT?
So other things I love: HARRY POTTER, Neil Gaiman, Bones, Fast and the Furious, Moulin Rouge!, The Mortal Instruments, The Demons Lexicon, Sherlock Holmes, Star Wars, THE BACKSTREET BOYS, Britney, GaGa, Torchwood, Margaret Atwood, Francesca Lia Block, WHEDON, BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, Johnny Depp + Tim Burton, Phillip Pullman, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, Green Day, LOTR, Sailor Moon, Gossip Girl, Michael Moore, Jericho etc etc etc I am missing stuff I know. I also like anything remotely slashable.
Things about me: I am 23, live in a conservative university town in Canada. Am not conservative. Am feminist, environmentalist, wee bit socialist. Getting my MA in media studies right now. Love fandom with both my heart and my mind for that reason. I am also doing so TAing and I love teaching, but hate grading. I have a boyfriend and we have just started living together, so that is a bit of a challenge.
I write fic but tend not to publish it because it sucks. I am working on that. But I read a ton and love commenting and reccing. Love meeting new people. I AM GOING TO VANCON AND IF YOU ARE TOO WE SHOULD BE FRIENDS.

PPS - Contrary to appearances, I have been in fandom for awhile. But I did nothing important. Well, I wrote a controversial Backstreet Boys column back in the day, and once had an editorial on Mugglenet. That is all.
