Merlin had seen many bodies over the years, and fallen in love with many men. Or, he should say, the many faces of one man. Arthur. They'd been every race imaginable, lived in every country possible. But every lifetime ended the same: Arthur died, oblivious to Merlin's love.
Not this time.
This body's name is Colin. He works as an actor, on a ridiculously-inaccurate show about himself. His co-star, Bradley, the man who plays Arthur... Well, they'd been dating for a LONG time, whether "Bradley" was aware of it or not.
Anyway, they were goofing around on-set one day when one of the extras mentioned some big news story from across the Pond. Apparently, New York had just decided to legalize gay marriage. "Bradley" grabbed him then, and Merlin completely expected to get kissed, as it was how they usually ended their goof-offs.
"Bradley" didn't kiss him, though. Instead, he asked him if he'd like to get married. "You have no idea how long I've waited for you to ask me that," he said, leaning in to kiss his boyfriend -- fiance. If he only knew HOW long...
