So, meningitis scare at UPenn, among the frats/sororities and...the fencing team. Interesting combination there, guys. But we fenced them last weekend, which means shaking hands with everyone on the team, which means we're at a slight risk.
I went and got the prevention pill today, so I'm not really worried, except...I have a really bad cold right now. Before it was just sore throat and a bad cough (the immensely painful body-wracking kind, fortunately in small infrequent fits), but about 2 hours after taking the pill, I developed sleepiness, headaches, and what feels like fever, though I don't have a thermometer to confirm. I'm trying to decide if it's the side effects of the pill (they're all listed in the info I got), pure coincidence and just my cold getting worse, actual meningitis (though this is HIGHLY unlikely), or purely psychosomatic (highly likely, really).
Either way, I'm kind of miserable right now, and I just wanted to say this all out loud, and you guys get it because I can't actually talk right now. :P
