Meme and more!

I took an elbow to the face during fencing practice today, so now I've got a fat lip. It's my first since probably middle school (or thereabouts). I mean, I've woken up with an oddly swollen lip, probably from biting it in my sleep (or secret alien injections), but this is all, "Dude, I got HIT in the FACE!" I've also got a sword wound (which is really more like rugburn, as it was through the jacket) in the crook of my elbow, and it looks like I've been inserting needles into my veins. Oh, fencing. I love you and the wounds you bring. :D

(I am glad, though, that it was just my lip and not my teeth. After all the time and money spent on braces, my mother - who knocked out her two front teeth at around age 10 and now has caps - would've killed me.)

I've got TV catching up to do, and I'll hopefully write that up soon (because OHMYGOD HIMYM. AND BONES), but for now, a meme from emma_tennant!

1. What's your dream career? Basically, being Bones and everything that entails. And that's probably the most realistic (like small children, I periodically entertain dreams of any of about 37 careers). But my regular daydream career is movie star. :D

2. Milk, dark, or white chocolate? Depends. I HATE white chocolate; I think it tastes like chemical-free sweetened soap. I adore dark chocolate, but it's too rich/strong for copious consumption, so milk chocolate is my good old standby. Which reminds me, I should begin shopping for Valentine's Day candy (mostly so I can have red, pink, and white M&Ms on a bowl in my room).

3. What is your biggest pet peeve? I am rather frustratingly and hypocritically easily annoyed, but here's a specific one: people who misuse I/me/myself. "I" is ALWAYS the subject; "me" is ALWAYS the object (and using "I" instead doesn't make you sound smarter, just pretentious). "Myself" is the reflexive, not the default for when you don't want to think about whether "I" or "me" is correct, so if you use it more than about once a day you're probably doing it wrong. (Unless you're Irish, in which case it's a charming speech pattern, used along with "himself" and "herself" and not as a pretentious affectation or laziness. It's quite lovely, actually.)

4. Do you think other planets have/had life on them? Yes. But this is an important distinction: I think so, but I don't believe it. My head tells me one thing, but my stupid treacherous gut tells me another.

5. What's your favorite Disney movie from your childhood? While I was never much of one for animated movies (The Sound of Music and Singin' in the Rain were my two favorite movies), and my affection for them comes from current nostalgia, I am quite fond of The Little Mermaid (I was then, too, because I was such a little fish and dreamed of being a mermaid), The Lion King (which traumatized me, but which is also excellent), and Mulan. Also Anastasia, which isn't Disney but which I always thought was. :P

That was fun! If you want five questions, let me know!
