Ok, so I'm working on those prompts you gave me. They're interesting, definitely, and I'm enjoying it. Still kind of writer's blocked, but it's coming out. (And the opportunity is still open! If you've got anything, leave me a prompt!)
Kal Penn (of House and Harold & Kumar) is coming to Brown tomorrow. I can't go; I've got work then. But from what I've seen, it looks like he's just going to talk about how he's supporting Barack Obama, which really, I don't care about. I mean, it's awesome, but I don't want celebrity endorsements of political figures, I want him to talk about House! And what it's like being the new guy! And how awesome Hugh Laurie is! Like John Krasinski did last year! (Well, that wasn't Hugh Laurie. He kind of indirectly talked about how awesome he is. And I don't think it was on purpose.) So if he were doing that, I'd be really disappointed that I couldn't make it, but as it is, I'm just mildly so.
So, um, I'm a nerd: I belong to the Space Club at school. Only it's not as nerdy as it seems, because we submitted a proposal to NASA which means five of us get to fly on the Vomit Comet to perform an experiment in microgravity. So, awesome. But anyway: I just friended on Facebook one of the other members, and he's from Australia. I did not realize this. He's kind of soft-spoken, and there's something a little odd about some of his pronunciations, but he doesn't sound Australian at all. BUT: he likes
Eskimo Joe. I don't know why I'm surprised: he is Australian, and so are they, and they're AWESOME. It's more odd that I like them. But that just made me really excited. :P
