I honestly thought GE was going to win it. I had prepared myself for it well in advance and was all set to be UBER happy for him. When Aaron won I was all, O_O WHAT DO I DO WITH MY HAAAAANDS???!!
That sort of shit should come with a health warning is all I'm sayin'!!
Yeah, maybe. Though I'd actually think Vince still not being recognised would have been a bigger downer. I mean, Bryan's won every other year of the show pretty much, so I don't think that would have been a huge issue. He's more than got his recognition [and Damian Lewis was a more than deserving adversary], but the lack of a win for Vince would have stung given the HEIGHTS of Season Four, directing-wise.
Among the Primetime Emmy rules, a show must originally air on American television during the eligibility period between June 1 and May 31.
So, nope. If I'm interpreting that rule correctly then, he can't re-nominate. The only episodes eligible for 2013 will be those from the first half of season five.
I also want recognition for Anna next year, please! Putting in an order for that right now! At least we still have two more years of Emmy excitement to get through, even if we only have eight more episodes of actual show :)
