Oscar Nominations Thoughts!
LOL, well at least the race is not boring anymore. I'm overall pretty happy with all the nominations; nothing I really dislike got nominated and there were some really AMAZING surprises (Javier! Dogtooth! Exit through the Gift Shop!). Suck about Nolan though. Oh well, I guess he'll just have to make a Holocaust movie or

I'm so upset about Nolan not getting a nomination, and I'm convinced he needs to do a Holocaust movie too. LOL At least the Coens didn't get completely shut out this year.

Was surprised about Waiting for Superman not getting nominated. Wasn't it the front runner in the documentaries?

YAY FOR THE KING'S SPEECH. I would have never predicted this considering how much The Social Network has been dominating. Lol @ everyone thinking the TKS is gonna win now.

The Coens already have so many Oscars though, lol. I think they could've sat this one out and probably wouldn't have cried over it. But man, these Nolan snubs are getting kind of sad. He's becoming like the Susan Lucci of the Directing Oscar, except not even getting nominated.

Yeah, Waiting for Superman was the frontrunner along with Inside Job probably. But I have heard that the message was pretty controversial.

Dude this is why Dave Karger should be crowned King of the world. I think almost everyone on Guru's of Gold changed their vote to The Social Network except him. And he's always right!

That's true. And I'm starting to think Nolan will end up like Alfred Hitchcock. lol

OMG YESS. Dave Karger was one of the few people that made me believe TKS still had a chance. Love him. :')

Nooooooooo. LOL, that will be so sad. But I could see that happening, especially if Nolan doesn't start doing Oscar bait stuff. I mean, Hitchcock at least got one nomination for Directing for Rebecca, but it was definitely his most Oscar baity movie.

Haha, Dave Karger is like the Nate Silver of Oscar predictions. This weekend is going to be interesting with SAG cause I think that is the only award left whose winner is not already known (DGA will go to Fincher, BAFTA will go to TKS). EXCITEMENT

Didn't Hitchcock get a nomination for Psycho, Rear Window and some others too? I think it is possible for Nolan to at least get nominated some day. I just have doubts about him actually winning though.

I really want the DGA to be another shocker like the PGA. lol I'm not sure I want to stay up until 2am again just to see Fincher win. The SAGs should be entertaining.

Oh right, I forgot that he was nominated a few times but never won competitively but all his most famous films got snubbed for Best Picture for some reason.

I was going to predict Nolan as a possible spoiler, but now I'm not. LOL.
