Has anyone here entered bread machine bread in a county or state fair competition? I was looking at the classes in the Home Arts competition for the Oregon State Fair, and there's a couple of classes for Bread Machine bread. I've been thinking about working on some entries for this year's competitions (not just bread machine bread). I'm wondering what experiences other people have had with competing in this particular category.
Near as I can tell, the rules for the bread machine classes don't specify what kind of bread I have to make, as long as I use a bread machine (one class specifies baked in the machine, another specifies mixed in the machine, but not baked in it). I'm not sure whether to stick with a basic white bread, a fancy white bread, or do something fun like a tomato and cheese bread. I'm already working up the list of family and friends to help with the tasting and critiquing of the practice loaves!
