Loving life :)
So at some point I'm sure this euphoria bit will dissipate and I'll stop being miss sunny sunshine, but for right now it's still going strong.
We've acquired two major pieces of furniture in the last two days- a couch for us (8 feet long, beautiful fabric, matches the living room color perfectly- a grown up couch!), and a 6 foot cat tower for the cats. The entire household is thrilled with the purchases ;) You guys- I have had the cruddiest lame couch for the last two years and I'm so so happy about this couch. It's also the only real furniture we have since the movers aren't delivering the rest of our stuff for a week which is lame, but even that isn't really upsetting me. Brian is convinced his computers will get stolen but I have faith it'll be fine. We'll just be "camping" for a bit longer.
I walked around the lake again last night- 3 miles in 45 minutes. If my sneakers were here I would have tried jogging a bit but alas, I'm pretty much stuck in flip flops or slides until our stuff arrives. The lake is beautiful though, and I love people watching around it.
Today we're cake tasting and seeing the inside of the reception site for the fist time- we need to figure out some layout stuff and the sound system. Brian's been updating his resume and posting it everywhere he can think of. I've been looking at lots of sites for public health jobs but I don't know where I put my backup disk of files so I can't do much to my resume just get. I do stuff like that constantly- am smart and make a backup disk and then am spacey and stick it somewhere random so I don't find it for three months.
