I suppose I'm doing something a bit different, so far, for this challenge. I wrote a poem. About what was certainly the worst day of my life, and for a few others as well. I didn't figure 16 lines was long enough for a lj-cut.
Halloween 1981
What does it mean to lose the light,
to fall asleep,
to live in night?
Where apathy is all you'll find,
a grasp for truth--
then "nevermind."
You lose yourself in raw despair
of wish I knew's
and never care's.
And the world is tossed in disarry,
while everything
is washed away.
