a query (that was supposed to be posted somewhere else)
Is anyone interested in doing National Novel Writing Month this year? I am, although I don't plan on signing up to do it officially. We could do our own "just write the darn thing" challenge in November, where we all state at the beginning what our goal for the month is (word count, story that needs to be finished, daily amount of time spent writing, etc.) and then use the group to keep ourselves accountable.
I mean, I'm planning on using this comm that way regardless of whether anyone else does, but I thought it might be more fun/helpful if there were a bunch of us kind of doing it together.

ETA: Hah. So. This was supposed to go up over at writers_lair, but I forgot to double-check before hitting "post". Oops.
However, it is still somewhat relevant to my personal LJ, as I plan to post each day's writings here, under f-lock. My goal is to actually write (and hopefully complete) the PROJECT OF DOOOOOOM. It should be possible, as I know there's enough material to support a novel (unlike the first year I tried NaNoWriMo), and I have the beginning and end pretty much figured out already.
We'll see how it goes.
