Just went to breakfast with my dad. He wants to know if I'm taking any academic classes this year (because obviously, music isn't academic...) I said I was thinking about it... although I already have 16-17 credits, plus all those late nights of practicing. His response was

*BIG HUG* Don't worry, sometimes people can be pretentious about things, even parents. Everybody thinks that just because they chose to do something, that its the best thing in the world. Don't be pressured or let anyone pressure you to do anything. College Education? There is no specific college education. I learn physics, but does that mean I am missing a college education because I don't study english? NO! Its just a different education, just as valid. So don't stress, dear.
