An Interesting Day For Old Dylan
Well, it's been awhile since I've posted here. A series of recent events has prompted me to revitalize this LiveJournal. I thought I'd share with you all the events that transpired yesterday, 4/21/07.
Well, I woke up at about 9:30 AM with an excruciating pain emanating from my abdominal region. After several hours of persistent pain, as well as a decent breakfast, I decided to go to the doctor. Well, I caught the bus form EWU around noon, and arrived at the doctor's office thirty minutes before my one o' clock appointment. After about an hour of examination, the doctor came to the conclusion that I have a large, stress-induced ulcer.
After the appointment, I began to work my way back to the bus stop. The only thing the doctor could do for me just then was tell me to take some ibuprofen and aspirin twice a day, every day. Just as I was almost to the stop, I felt a tug on my back pocket. I turned to find a wiry Caucasian male attempting to make away with my wallet. Now, I had previously been through a similar experience at the Northtown Mall. That time, I had just purchase my Nintendo Wii. The GameStop employee advised me to take the console straight home, as four people in Spokane alone had already been mugged while bringing home their Wiis. I was leaving the store, and no sooner than I had stepped out of sight of the window did a similar wiry Hispanic fellow attempt to steal my new baby. He was unsuccessful. While he was quite fast, he did not have the strength required to pry the bag from my Kung-Fu grip.
Well, the gentleman at the bus stop happen to be carrying a short, blunt club, which he used to bludgeon my arm once I figured out what he was trying to do. He struck me once, but to little avail. He attempted to strike again, but I grabbed his swinging arm, and proceeded to flatten him out. I gave him a nice 'love tap' to the stomach, and once he got up off the ground, he ran just as the Wii culprit did three months ago.
I just thought that this was a day worthy of sharing with everybody. I kind of felt like a superhero, although I'm still in a lot of pain, and I've been vomiting all day. Hopefully this will pass. Uh...thanks for reading. Bye.
