I finally went into the boss’s office and asked for an increase in mileage reimbursement. At first he said “we pay $0.31 per mile, you probably get 20 miles per gallon” and he smiled. I said “yes it’s covering gas, but barely…and mileage reimbursement is for more than just gas, it’s maintanance for the extra miles”. He said he would consider it

Yeah I just e-mailed them. I looked up the current recommended rate of $0.485 per mile, $0.31 was 1999 rate. I really don't mind helping out with stuff. I feel like they don't like me when I go to them with something like this, because I felt it was a simple little thing, and they make it a little more difficult. It makes you feel worthless when you ask for something small and have to wait for an answer.

I hope they come back and give you the proper rate. Like you said, its not only for you but everyone that makes road trips, company supply runs and other stuff.
Its so retarded they are being difficult about it!
