My Request
I finally went into the boss’s office and asked for an increase in mileage reimbursement. At first he said “we pay $0.31 per mile, you probably get 20 miles per gallon” and he smiled. I said “yes it’s covering gas, but barely…and mileage reimbursement is for more than just gas, it’s maintanance for the extra miles”. He said he would consider it and that he actually had not even thought about it before. I have because it’s affecting me because I run errands for the company everyday. I don’t mind at all, but I do need a little more reimbursement for the extra miles. I don’t feel like they are going to consider it, although I hope they do, I don’t ask for much at this company and I feel that my request is reasonable.
