But new shoe smell? Not so good. I've got some of the stinkiest feet ever after wearing my new shoes. I had the window open with the fan on them trying to get the smell to go away. :x
In the last week, I've been on time for work only once. Last Saturday I was an hour late for work. Every other day, I was maybe five or six minutes late. And just about every day, I was late because I overslept. Tuesday was the only exception, when I was late because I was unclogging the toilet (sometimes one courtesy flush just isn't enough). No one's said anything, and I don't know if anyone will, but I need to improve on that. And speaking of oversleeping, I slept till 1 today. I went to bed as soon as I updated my LJ. Man, I had no idea I was that tired.
The other night at karate, as we were warming up, there was this little girl watching class, doing our exercises with us as we did them, including the push ups. Then she started following along with us as best she could while we did kata. Someone get this girl a gi and put her on the mat! Her mother scolded her for being a distraction while we were working, but sensei said it was alright and that we should be disciplined enough to not let little things distract us. To prove his point, he pulled one student up to the front to do a kata. He then surrounded that student with several other students (one of whom was me) and handed them... foam thingies on a plastic stick. We were allowed to get in his face, hit the ground, yell, hit each other, or whatever, as long as we didn't hit him. So he starts and as the other students are busy hitting each other, I get up in his ear and say:
"Baaaaa"
Just like a goat. He nearly lost it. I figured I would go easy on him and started hitting the other students until he finished.
I've been pretty good about watching what I eat. Yesterday was the exception, where the chinese place got my order wrong and gave me more food than I wanted, and in my mind that somehow screwed things up and caused me to eat it all :D. I'm not sure how that works. After which I decided would be the perfect time to go running. I just never learn. I made it half a mile before having to stop. I went to lift weights but it was crowded in there and I was still sore and didn't feel like it, so I didn't do very much. It was just as well, not even a few hours had passed and I started to feel like I had rigor mortis. If I had done a full workout, I probably wouldn't have been able to move.
And no weight lost yet, but it's only been a week. And a pair of pants I have was a little looser, so that pleases me. I could honestly care less about the number as long as the dead mass is off and makes it easier for me to move. :)
